C.I.D. (Telugu: సి.ఐ.డి.) is a 1965 Telugu Action film, produced by Nagireddy-Chakrapani on Vijaya Productions banner and directed by Tapi Chanakya. Starring N. T. Rama Rao, Jamunain the lead roles and music composed by Ghantasala. The film is remake of Tamil Movie Dheiva Thaai (1964).
The story is about C.I.D. Ravi (NTR). His father Chalapathi (Gummadi) was a gambler. While playing cards one night he confronts a thief. During the fight, he dies suddenly. The crime falls on him. He runs away to escape police and becomes an underground don Baba. His wife Parvathi (Pandari Bai) joins in a hospital as nurse and educates their only son Ravi. Ravi from Bombay comes to Hyderabad to investigate the case of Baba. Baba one day comes to know that C.I.D. Ravi is his son. How Ravi solves the case and proves his father as innocent is the whole story.
