Philosophical series

[edit]

In this category page, an overview of the philosophical series is presented. This series consists of a main series and multiple subseries. Together, these series are represented by sidebars. If correct, the content listed in an article's sidebar refers to a page equipped with a corresponding sidebar. In some cases however, this bridge is missing. In order to prevent series-discontinuity, one should opt to accommodate these incomplete pages with correct sidebars.

Main series

[edit]

The main series is preferably collapsible, and should only be autocollapsed in cases of self-reference. In most cases of self-reference, an article's title is listed in the sidebar. Otherwise, the sidebar will take up unnecessary space. If an article's title is not listed in the sidebar, one can manually add a sidebar. To add the main series, place ((Philosophy sidebar)) at the top of an incomplete article. If an article consists of both a main series and subseries, the main series should be on top.

Subseries

[edit]

The subseries should contain as few content layers as possible. If an article is represented in a lot of subseries, template creep may occur. As a consequence, a reader might have to scroll-down a considerable part of a web page before being able to follow-up on a subseries. For this reason, subseries are ideally kept concise. When adding a subseries, don't forget to expand the self-referenced title by adding a notifier, like |expanded=Title.
