The Roman Catholic Church in Myanmar is part of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church, under the spiritual leadership of the Pope and curia in Rome. There are only around 8,000 Catholics in Nepal, which forms a single Apostolic Prefecture.

In May 2006, the country was declared a "secular" state, a change from what had been the only officially Hindu country in the world.[1]
