Dave Woods is a former Australian rugby league player and coach.

Woods first got involved in rugby league as a ball boy for his father's team, Enfield Federals, and started playing under-6s rugby at age four. He later played junior rugby league for St George, and later captained their Jersey Flegg and under-23s sides, and reserve-grade appearances for Penrith Panthers (1989-1997) and Parramatta Eels (1998-2001).

He began coaching junior rugby league and led Greystones to the under-17s C-grade premiership in Parramatta. He was also captain-coach of Merrylands in the Parramatta competition, after winning that premiership, he was asked to join Penrith Panthers as a development coach.[1]

In the 2005 season, Woods led Castleford Tigers to the National League One title and promotion to Super League. However, Tigers sacked Woods as they wanted a more experienced coach.

He later coached Gateshead Thunder and took them bottom of the table to champions of [[Championship 1] in his second season, winning the NL2 Coach of the Year award as well, only to be sacked at the end of the season as the club went bankrupt.
