Housefull 2 is a 2012 Indian action comedy film directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. This movie was inspired from the telugu movie Hungama directed by S.V.Krishna Reddy which stars Venu Madhav & Ali .[3] It is the sequel to the 2010 hit, Housefull. The film features actors from the first movie Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Deshmukh, with new additions included to the cast such as John Abraham, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan, Shazahn Padamsee and Shreyas Talpade.[4] It also features veteran actors such as Mithun Chakraborty, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Boman Irani in supporting roles.
Malaika Arora Khan features in an item-number song. The music is composed by Sajid–Wajid.[5] The official theatrical trailer was revealed on February 9, 2012, along with Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, while the second trailer released on March 26, 2012. The film released worldwide on 6 April 2012.
Housefull 2 opens in London with a cousin rivalry fight between Henna and Bobby at an animal circus. The ringmaster comments that if they're like this, then how are their mothers. Then the scene changes to a spa, where there is confusion between the two Mrs.Kapoors, regarding a 4:30 pm appointment. The receptionist comments if they are like this then how are their husbands like. The next scene is at an office building. Chinto and Daboo are fighting. Each brother wants to marry his daughter to Tycoon JD's Mithun Chakraborty son Jolly Ritesh Deshmukh who is in love with full-figured model JLo Zarine Khan but is too terrified to tell his daddy, who is striding across his English castle in a starched dhoti, a tycoon who smiles frostily only at Vishwas Patil Johnny Lever. Marriage fixer Aakhri Pasta Chunky Pandey brings an eligible match to Chintu, but playing a vinegary uncle with tang, Kapoor insults the father - with offensive 'African jokes' - landing him in hospital. His son Jai/Jolly Shreyas Talpade swears revenge, begging buddy Jwala/Jolly to romance Chintu's daughter, then break it off - but jittery Jwala/Jolly drags in muscular Max John Abraham to have him play 'Jolly', employing sleazy Sunny Akshay Kumar for the other brother to get the same. The rival Jolly-boys enjoy purani dushmani - but that's forgotten with two hot girls, a crocodile and a desert island.Yet, some starvation for the clueless girls ensures love and soon, there are four pairs - and four Jolly's hotting things up.With each Punjabi Papa - and one Batuk Patel Boman Irani (all dimples and nasal inflexion, father of Parul Shazahn Padamsee ,Jai/Jolly 's sweetheart - with more bikinis than lines) - vying for Jolly, the 'dirty dozen' reaches JD's house. But they're walking on water here. JD's got a temper, a dark secret - and a gun. Will the dirty dozen get what they vye for??? or JD will save the couples from the dirty dozen???
The sequel was confirmed by producer Sajid Nadiadwala on September 30, 2010.[6] The Filming of the movie started on June 9, 2011 in London and Peterborough.[7] The second schedule started from late October 2011. Housefull 2 hired a Hollywood action-set for Akshay Kumar's character.

The film had an earlier release in the UK on the 31st of March due to the Easter holidays.Housefull 2 got a 2700 screen approx release which is amongst the biggest of all times and the biggest release this year. Only Bodyguard and Ra.One have had bigger releases as far as Hindi films are concerned. Don 2 had a similar release though went to around 3000 screens if its Tamil and Telugu versions are included.[8] Housefull 2 was screened in 1,027 UFO digital theaters on first day of its release. It was released on April 6 in India. Housefull 2 attracted mixed reviews from various top Indian critic. Taran Adarsh from Bollywood Hungama gave 3.5 stars and stated: "If you are a movie-goer who derives pleasure from loud comedies with over-the-top humor that defy logic at every opportunity, I am sure, you will relish this wacky slapstick. If your idea of watching a comedy is to have a good time at the movies, then Housefull 2 is especially designed for you."[11] The Times of India gave the movie 4 out of 5 stars, praising the performance of Akshay Kumar and Asin [12]. Writing for FilmiTadka, Janhavi Patel gave it 2 out of 5 stars and said: "If you like movies that are both clever and funny, then Housefull 2 is way below your league and you should wait for good movies to come your way."[13]. Kanika Sikka of DNA gave it 2 out of 5 stars and wrote: "Go in with a promise that you’ll be entertained, but don’t expect an exhilarating journey."[14]. Raja Sen of Rediff gave it 1 out of 5 stars and wrote in his review: "Housefull 2 is shamefully bad. So bad that Ranjeet—the rapey villain of yore—who appears in one scene, is the most dignified thing about the film."[15]. Komal Nahta gave the movie 3 out of 5 stars.[16]
Sonia Chopra of Sify.com gave it 2 out of 5 stars and stated: "The physical slapstick comedy is straight out of a kids’ movie, but it is charmingly daft. You cannot help let out a laugh or two. It’s accidentally comic when you have a person with a bullet in his arm, but no one thinks of ringing for the ambulance. You see, long-winded, sappy moral science lectures are to be given at the very time."[17]. Rajeev Masand of IBNLive gave it 1 out 5 stars and wrote in his review: "Housefull 2 is for four-year-olds who don’t know any better. For anyone with taste, or anyone seeking genuine laughs, there’s nothing here."[18].
