Le Caprice was a restaurant in London's St James's area famous for being frequented by celebrities.[1] It was originally opened by Mario Gallati in 1947 at 20 Arlington St.[2][3] Famous patrons included Elizabeth Taylor, Mick Jagger, Madonna, Kate Moss and Princess Diana.[4][5]
The business closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and did not subsequently reopen. As of 2020, its owners were planning to reopen it in a new location.[4]
It has been reported that as of September 2023 its previous owners Jeremy King and Chris Corbin are planning to re-open a new restaurant in Le Caprice's original location at 20 Arlington Street, although they may not be able to use the Le Caprice name.[5][6]
