This is a list of United States ambassadors appointed by the 46th president of the United States, Joe Biden.

Biden intends to appoint more ambassadors who are career members of the foreign service, about 70 percent compared to Trump's 56 percent.[1] He intends to make appointments who will restore America's diplomatic standing after the Trump administration, which included several major campaign donors who were not well received in their host countries.[2] Among the political appointees, more are expected to be policy experts and politicians rather than campaign bundlers.[1]

Below is a list of nominations and appointments to the Department of State by Joe Biden, the 46th President of the United States. As of April 16, 2021, according to tracking by The Washington Post and Partnership for Public Service, 1 nominee has been confirmed, 1 nominee is being considered by the senate, 9 nominees have been announced, and 61 positions currently do not have nominees.[3]
