NOFX

NOFX has produced multiple songs dealing with illicit drugs (as well as misuse and abuse of prescription medication) and alcohol abuse. While some superficially seem to celebrate drug use, punk makes heavy use of iron, and NOFX has not shied away from the method. Both in music/video, and in interviews, they are frank about the reality of why people might choose to misuse or abuse a drug, as well as the consequences (e.g. prolonged incarceration mentioned in "The Decline" and the increase in deaths following drug crackdowns resulting in new patterns of abuse of Acetaminophen and Codeine and Doriden in "Doors and Fours", and the difficulties associated with treatment discussed in "Fuck Day Six".

On environmentalism and animal rights

On government/s

On work, class and class struggle

On war and militarism

On racism and white supremacy

On religion

On feminism, gender equality and LGBTIQ+ rights

On the flaws of the punk subculture itself (and wider youth culture)
