Robert Rahmeek Williams (born May 6, 1987), better known by his stage name Meek Mill, is an American rapper from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His father, Daniel Lawman was a football player in USA and has two other sons, one lives in Finland. He has been signed to Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group and previously T.I.'s Grand Hustle Records and just as Ross, Meek is signed to Ciroc Entertainment management company. In March 2011, Mill was listed as part of the "XXL Freshman Class of 2011".[1]
In 2011, he released his first single, "Tupac Back", along with Rick Ross, from his label's collaboration album Self Made Vol. 1. That same year he released another song from the album, "Ima Boss", also with Ross. Because of a remix to the song featuring T.I., Birdman, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Ross, and Swizz Beatz, "Ima Boss" is so far Meek Mill's most successful song, peaking at #51 on the Billboard Hot 100, #20 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and at #1 on the Heatseekers Songs chart.
In February 2012, MTV announced Meek Mill as the #7 hottest MC in their annual "Hottest MCs in the Game" list. [2]
