Sharapanjaram is a 1979 Malayalam film written and directed by Hariharan starring Jayan, Sheela, Sathar, Kothuku Nanappan and Oduvil Unnikrishnan in major roles. It was released in the golden era of Jayan, a short-time superstar of Malayalam cinema. He played the main villain role in the film. It was also one of the first notable films of Oduvil Unnikrishnan.[1]
The film is about the immarital relationship between a rich lady Soudamini and her servant Rajasekharan . She later discovers that Rajasekharan has had relationships with many ladies, but she is not able to put him out of her and her only daughter's (born from her first husband) life. Later, a young man named Prabhakaran, who is the son of an ex-servant of the rich lady, enters their life and helps them to get rid of Rajasekharan.
