I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. On the Seven Sisters disambiguation page it says that in Italian football, the Seven Sisters refer to the seven largest clubs in Serie A: AC Milan, Internazionale, SS Lazio, Fiorentina, Juventus, Parma AC and AS Roma who traditionally take up the first seven positions in Serie A.
I've read somewhere that the nickname 'Old Lady' derived from the fact that Juventus is the oldest of the seven clubs. Could someone verify his. There's no mention of this in the nickname section. -- BestEditorEver 06:28, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
That isn't the reason for the Old Lady nickname... I'll cut and paste the reply I gave from the archives when this was asked before;

Someone with solid source based information should include the newly proposed stadium plans (as of early 2008 if i'm not mistaken), the Delle Alpi page on the UK wikipedia doesn't have any information included about it either and is in serious need of an update. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.27.59.70 (talk) 18:55, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Can somebody help me to correct the list of Juventus managers? At the moment it contains a lot of mistakes (for example, Viola never managed Juventus in the 1928-29 season, because at that time he was an Inter manager; Munerati managed the team only in the 1940-41 season - replacing Caligaris, who died during the championship - ; it faults also the management Ferrari-Monti in the 1941-42 season). Unfortunately, I can't edit directly the article, because I'm a new en.wiki user and I made only a few edits. You can use as reference for the list this site instead of the wrong one. Thanks in advance. --Mess (talk) 08:21, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

How in the hell is this listed as a good article with a sentence like this?
"Founded in 1897 as Sport Club Juventus by a group of Torinese young students[3] and linked to industrial Agnelli family since 1923, the club has become a symbol of Italian culture and italianità (Italianity),[6][7][8] reflected, among others, in its contribution to the national team, uninterrupted since the second half of 1920s and recognised as one of the largest and most important in the world,[9] and, due to ideological politics and socio-economic origin of the club's sympathisers[10] and their massive presence of all over the country and, abroad, mainly in countries with a significant presence of Italian immigrants, through its fan base, larger than any other Italian club and one of the largest world-wide.[11][12]" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.130.119.38 (talk) 06:07, 3 April 2011 (UTC)

Could the phrasing in "they are the only Italian club that has contributed players to every Italian national team since the 2nd FIFA World Cup" be reworded. What I think the cited source shows is that they provided players for each squad that made the finals, certainly not provided players for each and every match that the Italians have played since 1934, unless I'm mistaken? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.208.60.141 (talk) 17:13, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

I'd ask you a clarification. I often saw the plural form for Juventus. In fact, usually in English newspaper I am used to read "Juventus are...". It seems to me that there are no other football team for what plural form is used. Is there any reason? Is this related to the final -s? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Panta1978 (talk • contribs) 13:00, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Please change this text: "Frenchman Michel Platini was also awarded the European Footballer of the Year title for three years in a row; 1983, 1984 and 1985, which is a record." (History, European Stage, second paragraph) to "Frenchman Michel Platini was also awarded the European Footballer of the Year title for three years in a row; 1983, 1984 and 1985, which remained a record until 2012 when it was broken by Argentinian Lionel Messi." because Michel Platini no longer holds the record.

Amedio1897 No problem, however only the UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE trophy and the INTERCONTINETAL trophy works. The CHAMPIONS LEAGUE and the INTERTOTO trophies do not take me to the same page the other two do, which does not let me use the picture file to add. If you want these added you must find the wiki page in English that takes me to a similar formatted page like the europa league trophy so I can use the picture file. Thanks. Is there a section in these pages that details Juventus' history by year for each of the above categories? For example, take the Champions' League (and old European Cup). I there a list, by year, of what Juventus did, where it got eliminated etc etc.? Same for Serie A, a list of where it placed every year. Does all this exist, and if not, where is the best place for it? Juve2000 (talk) 23:30, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

"Juventus is historically the most successful club in Italian football and one of the most laureated and important globally."
"Historically" has no meaning. The sentence means the same without it. The reader supposes that the article refers to past but not future achievements.
I am a native British English speaker and I have never before seen "laureated". If it exists, it is not everyday English. If it exists, it nonetheless reads unpleasantly.
Good luck!
