do the words pitch, slope, angle, incline etc. have subtle distinctions when used in roofing, or are they used interchangably? In math slope is usually a ratio, and an angle is measured in degrees or radians; does this apply to roofing as well?

The illustration of roof pitches is helpful but the labeling on each little house is in opposite format than the descriptions used in the rest of the article. In other words the 5/12 pitch roof is labeled 12/5.----

Hi, for the English version of File:Roof pitch.svg the correct terminologie is needed.
The names used at the moment are not yet verified.
