Abha Sur is a scientist and science historian. Presently, she teaches at MIT in the Program in Women's and Gender Studies[1].

Education

Abha Sur worked on mutli-photon ionization spectroscopy in her post graduation at SUNY, Stony Brook and Yale University. She completed PhD in Physical Chemistry from Vanderbilt University. She is currently associated with the Program in Women's and Gender Studies, and the Program in Science, Technology, and Society at MIT [2].

Books

Dispersed Radiance by Abha Sur

She is the author of the book titled Dispersed Radiance: Caste, Gender, and Modern Science in India. In this book, she examines the life and work of two Indian scientists, C. V. Raman and Meghnad Saha, to trace the influence of caste and gender on modern Indian science[3].
