I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place ((helpme)) before the question. Again, welcome!

You may also be interested to know that you can set your own preference for date format. Wikipedia allows either format, but if the dates are wikilinked, they will automatically be set to match your own preference. Click on the link titled 'My preferences' at the top of the page. Date changing[edit]

Hi. I'm wondering if you are devoting your time on WP to changing dates? From 'January 1' to '1 January' etc. I wonder if you know the policy on this? See Dates. Regards. --Kleinzach 22:42, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, sorry about the last template. Didn't mean to add it to your page. But there no real reason just to change the dates without changing anything else. --Patrick (talk) 16:49, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Date format changes[edit]

Hi Gravy, this is another reminder that articles should not have their date formats changed, "except where strongly connected to an English-speaking country that uses a particular date system". See Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates and numbers)#Retaining the existing format. I might also point out that we no longer wikify dates, per MOS:UNLINKDATES. More date format changes[edit]

Please cut it out. You're wasting people's time doing something which contravenes project-wide style guidelines. EEng (talk) 14:46, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
