Hi HQEditor! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from peers and experienced editors. I hope to see you there! Rosiestep (I'm a Teahouse host)
Hello HQEditor, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Al-Fatiha has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Dougweller (talk) 17:53, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Dougweller for the detailed guidance! Although I read a few guidelines of how to edit WP, I had completely missed that we cannot copy-paste :). It'd take some time to get used to editing WP.
I've tried to follow the guidelines this time and added back the material in Al Fatiha, only this time its para-phrased rather than copy-paste. I've not restored material that was not appropriately cited or had other problems. HQEditor (talk) 15:27, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine. We have a pretty strict policy on copyvio although it is not easy to keep on top of it, and I am regularly (well, almost monthly) running across editors who have been violating it for years. Dougweller (talk) 17:26, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also reverted you here. I can see that you are trying very hard to be a good editor, but you need to be more careful - I've given you details above. By the way, user Followerofquran hasn't edited for over a year. The copyvio is still in your sandbox. Let me know if you want any advice or help. Dougweller (talk) 18:23, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi it is really nice to see that this project kicking making some progress after 3 years since it was created. Please let me know if I can be of any help. NëŧΜǒńğerTalk to me 11:14, 1 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by TheAafi was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Zahid Saeed and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.

Salam TheAafi!
BRecorder is a reputed news outlet, and the article referred to is mainly covering the subject (Zahid Saeed) and not just mentioning him as a passing remark, right?
Please guide if that's not the case, pls guide with an example as to which article would be considered to have met above criterion and which not...
Thanks!
