Hello, RebeccahWelch. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

Following up on your questions at The Teahouse. The Peter D. Welch draft is looking pretty good (in my opinion). When we say "news sources" we typically mean coverage in the media by independent journalists or scientists. This could be scientific publications and journals (not authored by Dr. Welch), or any magazine/newspaper/digital publication with an editorial staff that have covered Dr. Welch. or Welch's method, for example, this. If you are having difficulty finding things, it may be okay, and I will look for as many as I can, but I wanted to clarify the "news mentions" for you. Your father sounds like he has made major contributions to his field and I hope to see this article published soon. Pyrrho the Skeptic (talk) 01:29, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
Check all refs to be sure that the refs support the facts in the text. If not, replace. David notMD (talk) 10:04, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
This is Rebeccah. Thank you for your help! I'm so grateful. I can check refs and will. But my sense is that I should not work on this anymore because of COI. Is that correct? Also, this is a great source for Peter. It is an interview over an hour long. https://d.lib.ncsu.edu/computer-simulation/videos/peter-d-welch-interviewed-by-james-r-wilson-welch/ I cannot find the written transcript but can call them and ask...?RebeccahWelch (talk) 13:51, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
Good afternoon. Might one of you advise me next steps.RebeccahWelch (talk) 16:25, 20 January 2022 (UTC) Can I re-submit? David notMD Pyrrho the Skeptic

Hi. Ok. Is it okay for me to do that?
Thank you. I see this message: "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject. It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies, particularly neutral point of view. Please discuss further on the talk page. (Learn how and when to remove this template message)"
Do I need to do anything with this? I declared my conflict of interest properly, but let me know if I need to do more. And thanks again for all of your help.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Peter Welch was born on May 19, 1928.

Hi Rebeccah. Edit requests should be made on the Talk page of the article. Below are two links for you. The first is a straightforward guide for making COI edit requests. The second is the link to the Talk Page of the article where you will make those requests.
