Usha Majere is a fictional character in the Dragonlance universe. She first appears in the novel Dragons of Summer Flame, wherein the possibility is raised that she may be the daughter of Raistlin Majere. However, Raistlin, upon meeting her, denies this. It has been further denied by Margaret Weis.
Usha is very beautiful, having silvery hair and golden eyes, hence the rumor of her being Raistlin's daughter. Even in her middle age, she is still breathtakingly beautiful. Usha is an excellent painter, her works adorning the Tower of High Sorcery at Wayreth and other such prestigious places.

Usha is the child of a pair of humans who had been enslaved by minotaurs, forced to labor aboard a ship. The couple were driven to despair living under the cruelty of the minotaurs and finally decided to jump overboard to either escape or drown. They washed ashore on the isle of the Irda, who pitied them and took them in. Usha was born soon after. But when the two humans wanted to leave with their child, the Irda forbade it, being extremely xenophobic. They feared that if the humans were allowed to leave, the location of their island would be revealed to the rest of the world. Usha's father tried to defy the Irda, with the unfortunate result that they accidentally killed him while attempting to use their magic to subdue him. Usha's mother subsequently committed suicide. Usha was raised by the Irda, who never told her the story of her parents. She was very close to an Irda called the Protector, or Prot for short, who was her guardian and foster father.
When the Irda began making plans to break the Graygem, they sent Usha away to the mainland on a magical ship for her own protection. She landed in Palanthas, but was unfamiliar with the customs of humans and did not know what to do. When she became hungry and observed people in the marketplace walking away with food, Usha assumed that the food had been placed out in the open for people to eat and tried to take some for herself. Since she had not paid for it, she was arrested for shoplifting and thrown in a cell with Tasslehoff Burrfoot, who could not help but notice how similar she looked to Raistlin Majere.
Usha then goes to the Tower of High Sorcery at Palanthas, where she meets with Dalamar, who believes that she is Raistlin's daughter. Usha later meets Palin in Palanthas, and she is infatuated with him. He returns the feelings, though they both believe they cannot be together. Usha waits outside while Palin goes and finds Raistlin. She escapes by way of magic and meets Dougan Redhammer, who is in fact the god Reorx, and he takes her to join the Thieves' Guild. She discovers her natural talent for thieving, however never steals anything. Usha meets Raistlin and he dismisses the rumours about their relation, and soon they go to the Isle of the Irda, where Usha again meets Reorx. From there, Usha goes to the battle in the Abyss, fought against Chaos. Tasslehoff Burrfoot stabs Chaos in the foot and is killed, and Usha collects a drop of Chaos's blood in the Graygem of Gargath, which ultimately defeats Chaos.
After the Chaos War, she married Palin Majere, though, while being trapped in Haven, she fell in love and became the lover of Lord Loren Halgard, a handsome, wealthy man. They part while still in love, and Usha does not repent for this. It is unknown how Palin and Usha reconciled, but as of 422 AC Usha and Palin are the happy couple again.
