Violaines (French pronunciation: [vjɔlɛn]) is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France.[3]
An ex-coalmining region, Violaines is situated some 7 miles (11 km) east of Béthune and 17 miles (27 km) southwest of Lille, at the junction of the D167 and D947 roads.
