Can someone please alter the above files containing the COA of the Diocese of Lichfield, so that they match the colours of the official version of the Arms recorded by the British College of Arms and seen here (the difference being that the right half of the large cross should be gold, as should the two smaller crosses on the right side). A version of the flag with the correct Arms can also be viewed here. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 13:33, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Just as an added comment, it appears (see also images under search engine query "college of arms Diocese of Lichfield") that the current version is more commonly seen, although the version with gold is technically official. HapHaxion(talk / contribs) 19:26, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@HapHaxion: Thanks for bringing it up. Perhaps it would be prudent to modify the currently existing files so that they match the official version, while creating new separate Files for the two alternate versions on the Heraldry Wiki? Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 20:52, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Eclipse vs new/full moon visualisations
Comparison of a lunar or solar eclipse with a full or new moon, showing how the moon's 5° orbital inclination means eclipses happen only about every six months rather than every two weeks (1757 publication by James Ferguson)
1810 Encyclopaedia Britannica comparison of a lunar or solar eclipse with a full or new moon, showing how the moon's 5° orbital inclination means eclipses happen only about every six months rather than every two weeks
Requesting the creation of svg images to illustrate (a) the difference between a full moon and a lunar eclipse; and (b) the difference between a new moon and a solar eclipse.
To communicate clearly why an eclipse doesn't occur with every full/new moon cycle, our articles need a 3D diagram. Many versions of such a diagram exist on other websites (listed above), but unfortunately none are freely licenced.
The diagrams would take pride of place on lunar eclipse and solar eclipse, both of which get approximately 1,000,000 views per year, as well as full moon and new moon which get about 500,000 annual views combined. -- Onceinawhile (talk) 20:57, 26 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've started to work on this :) I'm taking a similar one-point perspective approach to the modern examples provided. Lilbitmessy talk 00:41, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Lilbitmessy! In the meantime I will begin to amend the relevant articles to create a natural place for the diagram. Onceinawhile (talk) 08:59, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, here is the annotated version. Please let me know if you have any feedback or comments! :) Lilbitmessy talk 22:51, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Lilbitmessy thank you so much! It looks really great.
I have added in some more text to the labels to help make it as self-explanatory [self ex-planet-ary?!] as possible. I don't have the same graphics skills as you though so I hope I haven't made it ugly in the process. Onceinawhile (talk) 00:27, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Also I have now added the image to the relevant articles. Onceinawhile (talk) 01:24, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, so I get what you were trying to do with the extra text, but in general extra textual information clutters a diagram and should really be put in a caption. The graphic is already designed to clearly illustrate the concept and adding explanation of jargon doesn't necessarily help with the visual explanation of the mechanism. I'm happy to change about some of the labels but would recommend that in the future you first ask the author of a graphic to make amendments. Lilbitmessy talk 10:26, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Lilbitmessy, I thought I was helping and saving time by doing it this way, but I see now that I should have asked first. How would you feel about having two versions, one with the detailed annotations and one without? Onceinawhile (talk) 16:24, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Could someone please create an SVG file of the Flag of Exeter Cathedral, as seen in the above photo. It would consist of the shield from the Diocese's arms on a light blue field. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 22:09, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@PawełMM: Great job, and thanks for doing this! Although just one or two things... perhaps you could alter the shade of blue so that it matches the shade shown in this photo here of the flag room at Exeter Cathedral (the one at the bottom right of the cluster of flags). And maybe alter the flag ratio so that it becomes 3:5 (in line with most other Church of England related flags), and enlarge the shield a bit? So sorry about this, and thanks again for your help. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 18:03, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@PawełMM: That's perfect, and thank you profusely for doing this. Much appreciated as always. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 23:05, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can someone please create SVG files of the flags of the Diocese of Durham (as seen here) and the Diocese of York (as seen here). Both are banners of the Dioceses' coats of arms, provided above. Also, just to be safe, I also think both new flags should be created in the 3:5 ratio. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 20:50, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@PawełMM: Fantastic, thank you! Although, regarding the York one, is there any chance you could move the keys-and-crown downwards so that they occupy a centralised position on the flag? And perhaps you could change the shade of red to match that of the coat of arms too? Sorry for the inconvenience. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 00:38, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can someone please create an SVG file of the banner used by the Earl of Mount Edgcumbe, as seen here and here. It's a banner of the Earl's coat of arms, provided above. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 23:12, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request taken by FOX 52talk! 18:03, 3 January 2023 (UTC).[reply]
@FOX 52: Nice work! Although I would recommend flipping it horizontally, given that the flag in both photographs appears to have been blown to the left side of the flagpole by the wind, hence why it erroneously looks backwards. Sorry for the inconvenience. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 10:24, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Would someone please create an SVG file of the flag of the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham, as seen here. As you can see, it consists of the shield from the diocesan arms in the canton of the English flag. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 00:47, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@PawełMM: Thanks! Although, perhaps you could modify the file so that only the shield is in the canton, without the bishop's mitre and tippet, as seen in the photograph? This is also how the majority of other COE diocesan flags are displayed, as you can see with this other example here. Sorry for the inconvenience. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 15:23, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@PawełMM and HapHaxion: That's perfect, and many thanks to both of you for carrying out this request of mine. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 16:13, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can someone please create an SVG file of the flag of the Campaign for an English Parliament, as seen here. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 18:55, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Celtic cross template
Article(s)
Heraldic template.
Request
Will someone please create an SVG file template of the particular Celtic cross symbol that appears in this image here. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 15:07, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@AnonMoos: Oh yes, if you think the new File could be created by being derived from that one, then don't hesitate. Thanks for your response. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 11:37, 5 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Could someone please create an SVG file of the Flag of Fiji from 1883–1903, which would be almost the same as the 1903–1908 version above, albeit with the Saint Edward's Crown above and below the lion instead of the Tudor Crown. And while we're here, perhaps an 1883–1903 version of the Flag of the Governor of Fiji could be created as well, which would require the same modifications. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 16:46, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Could someone please create an SVG file of the flag of the University of Dublin, seen here, which would consist of the above Arms on a blue field. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 15:38, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can someone create a vector version of the logo of the Nonpartisan Bloc for Support of Reforms? It can be seen on a pin here. Thanks! -- HapHaxion(talk / contribs) 14:46, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Will someone please create an SVG file of the flag of the Diocese of Manchester, as seen here. As you can see, it would require placing the shield from the Diocesan arms in the canton of the English flag, both provided above. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 19:21, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can someone please create an SVG file of the flag of the Diocese of Sheffield, as seen here. It would consist of the shield from the Diocese's arms placed in the canton of the English flag, both provided above. Thanks. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 01:24, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can someone please create an SVG file of the flag of the Diocese of Worcester, as seen here. As with most of my previous COE diocesan flag requests, it would consist of the shield from the Diocese's coat of arms placed in the canton of the English flag, both provided above. Thanks.
