The result of the discussion was keep, and a ((trout)) to the nominator for bringing this here without even discussing with the page's owner. Active contributors should be allowed to manage their own user space; if something really needs action, to quote WP:UP#On others' user pages, "The best option if there is a concern with a user's page is to draw their attention to the matter via their talk page and let them edit it themselves.". This page is intended to be a future talk archive, but currently doesn't look like the other archives such as User talk:DGG/Archive 111 Apr. 2016. It can be recreated when the time comes. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 23:50, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Let the man do what he wants with his archiving system. Brustopher (talk) 23:57, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Keep, obviously. Is the nominator suggesting DGG made a mistake? Then he will presumably fix it without the assistance of an MfD. If on the other hand, it is deliberate and intentional, then that is no one else's business, no matter how eccentric it may appear. Thparkth (talk) 00:15, 15 April 2016 (UTC) After Cryptic's comments - Suggest withdrawal by nominator, but failing that keep. DGG has all the tools and experience necessary to deal with this in the way he prefers. Thparkth (talk) 00:35, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. This is borderline harassment, making a large issue of an editor's personal archiving system. Binksternet (talk) 00:18, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- This wasn't created by DGG, but by a confused new user. The reasonable thing to do would have been to just let DGG know about it. —Cryptic 00:29, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- delete as erroneous page creation. The user who created this page was trying to post a msg to DGG, who later copied it to his main talk page. 103.6.159.87 (talk) 02:47, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - The page wasn't created by DGG and I'm assuming DGG had no idea of its creation - If the post has been correctly moved then this should be deleted ... –Davey2010Talk 16:21, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep and let me deal with it It is not unusual for people to post on a talk archive page instead of the main talk page, and that is what happened here. I simply move the items to their proper place & deal with them as usual. There is no need to do more than to notify me in case I missed it. The only reason I haven't removed it is to make it clear that I regard this MfD as an entirely inappropriate way of handling this. DGG ( talk ) 22:24, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep It's in DGG's userspace, so they can arrange it how they want. Also, DGG is admin, so they can fix it themself if they want. MfD in userspace should only be for inappropriate content e.g. non-notable spam. Also, the nominator could have just asked DGG about it, rather than starting this discussion.
