• Possible copyright violation with an invalid public domain rationale. The license tag states it is in the public domain because it is an "official item legally exempt from copyright in its country of origin". The high school is in the United States, where works of the federal government are in the public domain but works of state/local governments and schools are not necessarily. Please remove this discussion from this page, it was there because after I uploaded the file I attempted to edit the inbox-like section to make it more normal by not writing the name of the high school twice both in "source" and in "author" which are the same thing, and when I did this it suddenly added a template alleging that it must be some copyrighted picture just because one wishes to have it displayed reasonably (rather then listing "Source" and "Author", the name and description of the file several times in a row). So when the template came up it would have listed this here which is stupid. Something should be done about this automatic listings based on edits, and instead should only be done if the file is originally uploaded without the information.                     ~Rayvn  16:38, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

So actually it looks like I uploaded a different image then intended, and therefore do not care if you delete it, however, it makes no sense to do so, since this is the picture taken or used by the school itself, unless there is a rule/policy about deleting any file that is not currently used in any article. (You can see an almost-exactly-the-same picture, indicating that these were taken at the same time, that is still hosted on the school's servers, which fact is shown to you by Google, although some script or something make sit not-visible on the website.) In fact it may actually make sense to delete it since the Wikipedia server for some reason decided to attach the entire town to the file's actual name rather then description, and there appears to be no way to correct a file's title.

Wikipedia's file uploading form is very unclear and should be vastly simplified, not insert overly-strange templates/infoboxes, and should require far less reading. It took nearly 15 minutes just to upload a file!                     ~Rayvn  16:50, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

@RayvnEQ: What needs to be listed under "source" is the exact location (website, etc) you obtained the image and "author" needs to list the person or organization who actually took the photograph and, therefore, owns the copyright to it. We then need to see proof that the person or organization has agreed to release the image into the public domain, as you claim it is, because your rationale for why it is in the public domain does not appear to be legally valid. If you want the image deleted, as your comments above suggest you might, you can tag the page with ((db-g7)) and remove the image from any articles its in. --Nick—^Contact/_Contribs 17:05, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That's actually a common misconception. An image being posted publicly is different from an image being in the public domain. You don't give up your rights to something you've created by publishing it. Most things you find on the Internet are still copyrighted, or presumed copyrighted unless released. You're wrong because what you are saying is a "common misconception" is not a misconception that I used or referred to. If you post something on your blog then that is not the public domain, it's your blog. If you publish it, then you just published it. I didn't say anything about either of these two ideas.
