I was debating whether to nominate this redirect to not, but it is very unlikely that someone will use this Japanese phrase to search for the article on yaoi. If the reader already knows the phrase, then they will also know its acronym. And without the commas, it is an implausible search term. —Farix (t | c) 22:47, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible redirect and potentially offensive in nature. No singular correlation between the redirect and the target article. This redirect could, logically, be to any article dealing with male homosexuality, anal sex, or kicking someone's ass. Apparently created by and editor simply trying to be "cute". —Farix (t | c) 22:15, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Retarget to Intel Science Talent Search. Feel free to convert it to a dab. Ruslik_Zero 18:41, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why does this redirect to the song? The abbreviation is not mentioned anywhere in the article and I've never heard of the song normally being abbreviated like this. Perhaps there is a better target for this redirect? There is an http://ISTS.com but it doesn't look like there's an article for them.

Update: I just discovered there's a Intel Science Talent Search, propose retargeting to that article. -- œ 05:32, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why on earth would anyone redirect "Jared Elliott" to "New Zealand"? Who is he? Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:21, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Valuation (algebra)#P-adic valuation on a Dedekind domain. JohnCD (talk) 11:25, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion: this term exists absolutely nowhere in the literature. Neither google books nor google scholar return results for this term. As an added bonus, no articles even link to this redirect. RobHar (talk) 02:30, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just to be clear, the paper you've suggested does not contain the term "Dedekind valuation", rather it says "Dedekind valuation ring", i.e. a valuation ring that is Dedekind. I suppose the retarget you're suggesting would not do harm. RobHar (talk) 16:44, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lisa Robertson was a QANTAS flight attendant and prostitute who had sex with Ralph Fiennes in an airplane toilet. It was all over the news in Australia for ages, however interest has now died off. Lisa Robertson was judged unsuitable for her own article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lisa Robertson (Australian). I think the redirect is a very unlikely search term. Please note that I am not requesting G7, since I created this redirect to assist the participants at AfD and the redirect belongs to them as much as it belongs to me. Richard Cavell (talk) 02:23, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nonetheless, needless negative material (like calling out the fact that she was fired) can be a serious issue for non-public figures who happen to have been in the news. I should have specified WP:BLP1E, the more relevant link, rather than the general WP:BLP policy. Gavia immer (talk) 00:03, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't seem a reasonable or useful abbreviation. There is already WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT that does the job. Cyclopiatalk 00:25, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment - the redirect was added on 13 July 2010 by User:Armbrust, who appears to be a trusted editor. No doubt he acted with good intention, but I don't think that the redirect has obtained such standing that it is outside the scope of RfD to delete it. I have notified Armbrust. - Richard Cavell (talk) 04:18, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I wonder if a simple WP:NOTLISTENING would be good, instead. --Cyclopiatalk 14:05, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect is ambiguous between Template:2004 Connecticut men's basketball and Template:2004 Connecticut women's basketball. Since templates don't have disambiguation pages, this should be deleted. Grondemar 00:17, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
