Ken Reeves

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep the redirect, but in addition disambiguating all of the links on articles that currently link towards Ken Reeves and changed them to link to Ken Reeves (American football) or Ken Reeves (basketball), in addition to creating the new redirect Ken Reeves (meteorologist) to redirect to AccuWeather. Delete. This name is not found anywhere on the article, and cannot be found anywhere in the references. In addition, there is a template that exists, Template:Eagles1985DraftPicks, that has a link to Ken Reeves on it, and I'm more than certain these are not the same two people (that's assuming the "Ken Reeves" for "AccuWeather" even exists.) Most, if not all, of the articles that currently have a link to Ken Reeves in them are articles about football. Steel1943 (talk) 21:24, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I did that before I even had a chance to read your comment (after seeing other links to articles appear the same way.) So now, we have redlinks that go to Ken Reeves (American football) and one that goes to Ken Reeves (basketball) as the link was obviously representing a different person. I believe that this discussion has now concluded with a resolution? Steel1943 (talk) 22:48, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I went ahead and created Ken Reeves (meteorologist) as a redirect pointing towards AccuWeather, in case the day comes where disambiguation is necessary, as well as so other editors who might create those articles in the future know which "Ken Reeves" the redirect Ken Reeves refers. HSV-1 Joint Venture

Delete. This was apparently a typo for HSV-X1 Joint Venture, corrected by a move on 23 Aug 2007;[1] that article was then merged and redirected in May 2012. This redirect is now search junk that comes up when looking for info on the virus HSV-1. – Fayenatic London 08:30, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

U.S. Highway 431 in Indiana

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was speedy delete per criterion G7. Thryduulf (talk) 14:25, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

U.S. Route 431 never entered or was never planned to enter Indiana. The only thing that linked to "U.S. Route 431 in Indiana" was some town in Alabama. It was just mislinked (in Indiana instead of in Alabama) and this redirect was made to remove the red link. (Also in the article from the town in Alabama US 231 was linked with "in Indiana", when it should have been "in Alabama".) Detcin (talk) 01:00, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Really? Because I was looking through a lot of the spurs of U.S. Route 31 so I could make them state-specific, and one of the towns in Indiana claimed that US 431 was one of their major highways, along with US 231. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 01:11, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
UPDATE Aw, crap! This was a big SNAFU on my part. I thought I was doing more Indiana-related articles than I was really doing. Delete away! The sooner the better! ---------User:DanTD (talk) 01:21, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not a problem it happens sometime, I was thinking that is what happen.Detcin (talk) 01:25, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for being so forgiving, and I'd replace that deletion tag with a speedy deletion tag, if I could find the proper criteria for it. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 03:53, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
