Hello,

Trying to recall the name of a lousy sci-fi movie made either in the 1950s or 1960s. The premise of the film was that somehow the atmosphere had caught on fire. I WOULD LIKE THE NAMES OF ALL ACTORS, SINGERS, ENTERTAINERS, IN MOVIES & TELEVISION; WHO WERE IN ALL THE WARS, WE HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN..

Are you trying to break as many rules as possible or something? Don't use all capital letters, use a specific title, don't give your email address... Most importantly, you don't even say what country you're from, so we have no idea who the "WE" in "THE WARS, WE HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN" refers to. —Keenan Pepper 07:25, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I speculate that what Laura wants to know is the names of the all actors etc in all the movies about all the wars in which her country - whatever it is - has ever been involved. HI.....Sorry for all the confusion concerning my request & the failure of not posting this entire inquiry in a better fashion. I, Laura, live in Florida; I like to do displays at the library for Veterans Day, etc. I have recived email in the past that had pictures & info concerning Actors who were in WW11...I recall seeing a picture of a Western Actor who was in the Spanish American (hope I have that right) War.. I thought if there was some kind of list that had names of a varity of Entertainers who served in WW1, Korea, Viet Nam etc., then I would research for their pictures... I thought it would be interesting to display a few of their pictures along with family & friends who served in anyone of the wars we have been on involved with, as a coversation thing...I know of 1 Country Star who was in WW11..So I hoped there might be someone out there who could help .....THANK-YOU, Laura

I regularly see North American ice hockey players fighting on TV and in some games, life bars included, suggesting this is sort of part of the show itself. too complicated a question. the short answer is tradition. 'twas the way it was. attempts to limit the fights or the people involved in figths (from fights happening involving just about anyone towards a semi-staged "enforcers" fighting each other, to revisions going in place next season that change the penalties involved that may increase fights). traditionally those people for fights in hockey will argue that allowing players to handle cheep shots and abuse on the ice via the traditional fight will produce positive effect in keeping the game clean, limit penalties and reduce ugly plays (spearing, slew footing, hacking, etc). opponents of the fights might point out "fights" as a top reason most non hockey fans decline to watch the game, the negative image the NHL gets from the few highlights that are shown,etc. you are likely better off finding a fuller discussion about this topic off wiki. many ameican sports sites that have solid hockey coverage will have archival stories for and against the state of fighting in the game. and many fan sites will have had long discussion on the pros and cons of the NHL and its evolving fighting rules. ultimately you have to remember, in most sports fighting will get you tossed out of the game, fined, and suspended. it will also often hurt your team. in hockey (ignoring the instigation rule for a second) all you get it a 5 minute sit down, and if your opponent fought back, there is no negative to your team at all.Childhoodtrauma 16:19, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
