I know the entire band Deep Purple obviously wrote the song, but does anybody happen to know which member of the band actually came up with the ultimately famous guitar riff in the beginning?Jk31213 03:11, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
I heard it was Roger Glover himself. The bassist must have wrote it because i heard it everywhere i went.
I heard a song the other day that I cannot for the life of me remember either the tune or the lyrics (in any meaningful way). It was like an indie/rock style and was about the first time with a new woman, and how the second time was better for her (or something like this). Any ideas anyone? Not much to go on I know. I've been racking my brain, i'm pretty sure it is a new song. ny156uk 10:47, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
I recall that in the late 80s there was a female singer from the UK who was supposedly huge in what was then the USSR, but practically unknown at home, despite going on various high-profile UK shows (Wogan and the like) to try to promote herself. Anyone know who she was, and indeed whether she was really big in Russia or whether that was just hyperbole? (Oh, and on a similar Brits-famous-abroad tip, I think Wikipedia should have an article on Kathy Flower, if anyone knows enough about her. Being a Brit myself, I haven't a clue.) -88.109.42.17 12:21, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
There is a movie I saw from the early 90s in theater at the time and I can't remember the name for the life of me. In the movie, the characters become immortal by drinking some potion. It is set in contemporary times and from what I remember, the end is two of the women who drank the potion, dying after the funeral of a man that fell to his death rather than drink the potion. The two women fell apart, or something like that. Any ideas what the name of this film is? Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.87.80.103 (talk • contribs)
