Description[edit]

WikiGoals is a WikiProject that would like to encourage users to complete daily goals that they set beforehand. The user can set their goals on the WikiProject page, and can update their progress on the goal whenever they wish. Goals can be automatically reset daily if the user would like for them to be. There may also be a list of whether or not the user completed their goal. For example:

Newyorkadam has a goal of making 10 spelling corrections every day. He creates his goal on the WikiProject page, and whenever he makes a spelling correction he manually writes that he has made one spelling correction. If he has completed three spelling corrections, he will have something next to his name that says '30% complete'. If he sets it to, his completions will automatically be reset after 24 hours (he can set it to be however long he wants). If he has completed 10 or more spelling corrections, a check sign wil appear under the date that he completed his goal.

How does this not contravene WP:NOTSOCIALNETWORK ? and doesn't this encourage Wikipediholism addiction and potentially, spurious editing to achieve the edit requirements of their own goals? -- 65.94.78.9 (talk) 11:57, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
