At the risk of shooting my own foot, I have repeatedly asked more critical persons to contribute to this article, and for more technically-minded persons to properly format it.

Of course, like any writer, I'm not exactly offended by being mentioned. The *origin* of most of this material is from my own site (http://www.mindspring.com/~hellfire/bishop/), but largely comes from the site of my current publisher, Manutius Press (contact Jon Sellars, http://www.manutiuspress.com/). I added the bibliography, which includes ISBN numbers--one can verify with Books in Print or Amazon, et al.

Beyond that, the best argument for keeping the article was made in the previous discussion about deletion; whether I have an ego or not is not really at issue (we all do), but whether I am a reasonably well known author and personality in the fields mentioned in the article, and whether the article is factual. "Reasonably well known" is exactly how I would describe myself.

To verify, here are a number of random Internet sites I have no personal sway with that mention my work or reprint it, just by Google-searching "Allen H. Greenfield" and "Bishop Allen Greenfield":

http://www.prweb.com/releases/2006/1/prweb328392.htm http://www.mysterious-america.net/allengreenfieldi.html http://www.sacred-texts.com/bos/bos352.htm http://www.podcast.net/show/45059 http://www.martiansgohome.com/smear/v41/ss941205.htm http://www.hermetic.com/browe-archive/newachad.htm http://www.greylodge.org/occultreview/glor_001/stargate1946.htm http://www.hermetic.com/dionysos/resume.htm http://www.elfis.net/elfol5/e5cyphrev.html http://thelemacoasttocoast.com/content.asp?Action=popular&ContentType=Podcasts http://www.xzone-radio.com/guests.htm http://http://www.mail-archive.com/ctrl@listserv.aol.com/msg44631.html http://www.amazon.com/Secret-Cipher-Ufonauts-Allen-Greenfield/dp/1881532046 http://www.amazon.com/Compleat-Rite-Memphis-Allen-Greenfield/dp/1891948016

There are many others, and I have excluded blogs and such. By the way, since there was some question, I was President of the Atlanta Science Fiction Organization (ASFO II) in 1973-74. I suppose you could verify this with the venerable "old man" of Southern science fiction, Hank Reinhardt (http://www.hankreinhardt.com/hank/index.php). Mr. Reinhardt was a founder of the original ASFO in 1949.

One other point, since verification seems to be a problem, a quick check of the index of any of these books will show one or another aspect of my contributions:

Margot Adler's Drawing Down the Moon Hans Holzer's The UFOnauts Timothy Green Beckley's The UFO Silencers, John A. Keel's Strange Creatures From Time and Space Keel's Disneyland of the Gods Neal Wilgus' The Illuminoids Jacques Bergier's Secret Vaults of the Earth Robert Scheafer's The UFO Verdict Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor Joscelyn Godwin,et al Jim Keith's Casebook on the Men in Black Robert Anton Wilson's Everything Is Under Control Jim Moseley's Dangerously Close to the Truth

Since all of this information is on my web site, or can easily be found by web search on my name, I am at a loss as to why it has been difficult to confirm the info.

Again, I'd be ecstatic to see material in this article from sources other than myself, including critical material, but the information is accurate, and my intentions have been good, and candid from day one.

Thanks for hearing me out.
