The second season of the American television drama series Younger will be premiered on January 13, 2016, in the United States on TV Land. The season was ordered on April 21, 2015. The season airs in the Wednesday 10 pm timeslot, the same slot as the previous season. It will consist of 12 episodes.

Premise

Liza Miller is 40 years old and a recently divorced mother. As her daughter begins college, her husband David leaves her for a younger woman. Subsequently struggling without David's financial support, she attempts to get a job in publishing, which proves difficult for a woman of her age. During her hunt, she meets Josh, a 26-year-old man who guesses he and Liza are about the same age. His compliment sparks an idea in Liza: she decides to get a makeover, courtesy of her best friend Maggie, in order to pass herself off as 26 years old. Ultimately, she becomes an assistant to Diana Trout at the publishing firm Empirical Press, where she befriends Kelsey Peters, her 20-something co-worker.

Production

After a recurring role in the first season, Molly Bernard will be added to the main cast.[1][2] On January 6, 2016, Younger was renewed for a third season of 12 episodes, which will aired in 2017.[3]
