A leadership election was held by the United States House of Representatives Democratic Caucus before the beginning of the 118th United States Congress on January 3, 2023 following the retirement of Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer. Jim Clyburn, the current House Majority Whip, is seeking another job within the Caucus. With Pelosi's retirement from the post, the Democratic Caucus will vote for a new leader for the first time in 20 years.
The following positions were nominated or elected on November 30: House Minority Leader, House Minority Whip, Democratic Caucus Chair, House Assistant Minority Leader, and Democratic Caucus Vice Chair. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair, the Policy and Communications Committee's Chair and its three Co-Chairs, Junior Caucus Representative and Freshman Class Representative were elected also.
