The Exile (ssp. marmorata) or Northern Arches (ssp. assimilis) (Apamea zeta) is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found from Iceland to Great Britain and Fennoscandia, south to the Iberian Peninsula through central Europe to the Balkans and Greece. In North America, it is found in Newfoundland and Labrador, British Columbia, Alberta, Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Manitoba in Canada in the Rocky Mountains south to Colorado.
The wingspan is 43-50 mm. Adults are on wing from July to August in Britain.
The larvae feed on various grasses.
