Artemis Fowl: The Seventh Dwarf is a short story (59 pages) in the Artemis Fowl series of books. It was published for World Book Day 2004, costing just €1 (£1 in the UK).

In the series chronology, The Seventh Dwarf takes place between Artemis Fowl and Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident.

Artemis lures Mulch Diggums to New York City and then brings him back to Ireland to steal the priceless Fei Fei tiara which contains an enormous blue diamond. A dwarf gang led by Sergei the Significant has already stolen the tiara and plan to sell it at a circus to several international jewel thieves. The dwarfs perform in the circus, and while all bar one are performing Mulch sneaks in and takes the tiara. Holly Short arrives, alerted by Mulch's stolen LEP helmet.

Holly Short catches Artemis with the tiara but he manages to swap the priceless blue diamond for a fake. In the end the reader dicovers Artemis stole the diamond because its colour reminded him of his father's eyes. He gives the diamond to his mother as a present, and promises her he will find his father. This is one of the few acts of tenderness Artemis shows in the series.

• The title references the tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and possibly The Third Man.
• Blue diamonds do exist, and are the rarest and most valuable.
