A premium station is a railway station in Melbourne's rail system that has staff from first train to last. Premium stations may also feature:

• an enclosed waiting area.
• open toilet facilities.
• electronic, up-to-the-minute next train information.

The five City Loop stations are all premium stations, as well as a number of suburban stations.
