Upper Mesopotamia (Arabic: al-Jazira) — a historical region of the Fertile Crescent, and contemporary geographic region of the northern Middle East.

Located in the uplands and great outwash plain in northwestern Iraq, northeastern Syria, and southeastern Turkey.
