The Utah Stars were an American Basketball Association (ABA) team based in Salt Lake City. The franchise began as the Anaheim Amigos in 1967, played as the Los Angeles Stars from 1968 to 1970 and played in Salt Lake City as the Utah Stars from 1970 until folding in the midst of the 1975–76 season, just prior to the ABA-NBA merger. The Utah Stars won the 1971 ABA Championship.
