Charles Michael Sargent Jr. (February 3, 1945 – November 13, 2018) was an American politician and a Republican member of the Tennessee House of Representatives representing District 61[2] from January 1997 until his death.
Sargent was born in New York City, New York. Sargent attended Pace University in 1964 and 1965. He served in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1967. Sargent was involved with the insurance business and lived in Franklin, Tennessee.[3] He died of cancer while still in office in 2018. He previously chose not to run for re-election, owing to his health.[4]
