Dixfield is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Dixfield in Oxford County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,137 at the 2000 census.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1,137 people, 490 households, and 321 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,353.2 people per square mile (522.6/km2). There were 540 housing units at an average density of 642.7/sq mi (248.2/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.24% White, 0.44% Native American, 0.53% Asian, 0.09% from other races, and 0.70% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.26% of the population.
There were 490 households, out of which 29.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.8% were married couples living together, 10.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.3% were non-families. 29.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.32 and the average family size was 2.84.
