This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of films). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). A Woman Who Climbs Trees is a 2018 documentary film directed by Puja Kolluru and based on the life of Margaret D. Lowman.[1][2][3]
Puja Kolluru met Margaret D. Lowman at a talk by the NGO Tree Foundation in Sarasota, Florida. Lowman invited Kolluru via email to join her expedition in the Amazon rainforests of Peru.[4] Kolluru was the only person of the film crew,[5] and decided to focus the documentary on the struggles Lowman encountered as a single mother and how she encouraged women to go after science.[4] As of June 2018, the sixty minute documentary was finished filming and was in the post-production stage.[4]
In 2020, the film was officially selected for the Sarasota Film Festival and was awarded the special mention category at the 10th Dada Saheb Phalke Festival and Delhi Film Festival.[5]
