The Red Fraction of the Communist Party of Chile is a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist organization with particular affinity for Chairman Gonzalo and their contributions to Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.[1][unreliable source?]
The Red Fraction originated as a split from the Communist Party of Chile, in which they denounced the "revisionism" of their former party and adopted Marxism-Leninism-Maoism principally Maoism as defined by the Partido Comunista del Perú-Sendero Luminoso (PCP-SL), a communist group which is considered a terrorist organization by the government of Peru.[2][failed verification][3]
The ideology of the movement is based in the contributions of Universal Validity Chairman Gonzalo.[1][unreliable source?][4][non-primary source needed] This originated in the 2000s within the international movement, being adopted recently by organizations such as the Communist Party of Brazil (a Maoist party in Brazil).[5]
The group is a member of the International Communist League,[6] a Maoist international organization which seeks the reconstitution of the Communist International.
