Description

The Red Fraction originated as a split from the Communist Party of Chile, in which they denounced the "revisionism" of their former party and adopted Marxism-Leninism-Maoism principally Maoism as defined by the Partido Comunista del Perú-Sendero Luminoso (PCP-SL), a communist group which is considered a terrorist organization by the government of Peru.^{[2][failed verification][3]}

Ideology

The ideology of the movement is based in the contributions of Universal Validity Chairman Gonzalo.^{[1][unreliable source?][4][non-primary source needed]} This originated in the 2000s within the international movement, being adopted recently by organizations such as the Communist Party of Brazil (a Maoist party in Brazil).^[5]

The group is a member of the International Communist League,^[6] a Maoist international organization which seeks the reconstitution of the Communist International.
