Early Life[edit]

Kapish, born Alidu Adekunle Ayodeji on May 2, 1998, in Agege, Lagos, is originally from Epe, Lagos State. He grew up in a Muslim home with only one sibling. Kapish attended Ebenezer Montessori School for his elementary education, then attended Pledge Private College for secondary education. He also attended Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology for National Diploma where he studied Marine Engineering before proceeding to Lagos State University to study Computer Science. He grew up listening to the likes of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, and Queen Salawa Abeni, who happens to be his aunt. He unofficially started as a kid but released his first official track in 2018.
