Emma Harries (born 29 March 2002) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Women's Super League club West Ham United.[1]

Early life

Harries was born in England. She joined Reading's academy at age 8 and began playing for the U-9's team; she remained at the academy until she was promoted to the first team.[2]

Club career

Harries made her senior debut on 4 October 2020 coming on in the 80th minute, replacing Amalie Eikeland in a win against West Ham.[2] On 27 January 2021, Harries signed a two and a half year contract at Reading, her first professional contract.

Harries scored her first professional goal in a FA Women's Super League fixture against Bristol City in 2021.[3]

On 29 June 2023, Reading announced the departure of Harries following their relegation to the Women's Championship.[4]

On 2 August 2023, Harries signed for West Ham United.[5]

International career

Youth

Harries got called up to England U17 to play in the 2019 Euro championships qualifiers against Georgia and Hungary.[6] She played both games and scored two goals against Georgia.[7]

Harries has been selected for every England youth age group.[citation needed] She is Vice-Captain of the England U19 team.[citation needed]

Personal life

Harries is dating fellow women's footballer and former England youth teammate Ellie Brazil.[8][9]
