English: The barrier transfer machine (BTM) on the Auckland Harbour Bridge in Auckland, New Zealand. The BTM is moving the barrier at around 2:30pm for the afternoon/evening peak traffic flow. This is one of the two barrier transfer machines which operate on the Auckland Harbour Bridge. In March 2009, these two machines replaced the original two, which had been moving the barrier everyday since it was installed in 1990; which lasted four times their original design life of five years. The barrier was also replaced.
