Deutsch: Der schwarze Rabe mit dem roten Holzspan im Schnabel stellt die Legende des örtlichen Kirchenbaus bildlich dar: Ein Rabe soll einen blutigen Holzspan von Neukirchen zum späteren Bauplatz in Maithenbeth getragen haben. Das gezäumte Pferd im unteren Feld erinnert an die frühere Zugehörigkeit des Gemeindegebiets zur Reichsgrafschaft Haag, das in Rot ein springendes silbernes Pferd mit Zaum im Wappen führte. Das Pferdewappen geht zurück auf die Gurren von Kirchdorf bzw. Haag.
