Fiona Clare Harvey (born July 1972) is an environmental journalist at the British newspaper The Guardian.[2][3] She previously worked for the Financial Times for more than ten years.[4][5] She has won various awards including: the British Environment and Media Awards journalist of the year, and the Foreign Press Association award for Environment Story of the Year (twice).[6] In 2020, she was included in a BBC Woman's Hour list of women in the UK who most help the environment.[7]
Harvey graduated in English literature from Christ's College, Cambridge in 1993,[8] became a journalist in 1994, and worked for some years writing and editing on information technology.[9]
Harvey has attended almost every United Nations Climate Change conference since 2004, and interviewed many notable people,[10] including Mikhail Gorbachev,[11] Tony Blair,[12] and Antonio Guterres.[13]
