Grave Torture (Indonesian: Siksa Kubur) is a 2024 Indonesian psychological horror film written and directed by Joko Anwar. The film is based on Anwar's 2012 short film of the same name. The film stars Faradina Mufti, Reza Rahadian, Christine Hakim and Slamet Rahardjo.[1][2]
After both of her parents became victims of suicide bombings, Sita became distrustful of religion. Since then, Sita's goal in life has been only one: to find the most sinful person and when that person dies, Sita wants to go into his grave to prove that the torment of the grave does not exist and religion is not real. However, of course there are dire consequences for those who do not believe.
Grave Torture was released in Indonesia on Eid al-Fitr day April 11, along with Dancing Village: The Curse Begins directed by Kimo Stamboel.[3][4]
