Greg Peters is an American businessman[1] and the Co-CEO of Netflix, Inc.[2][3][4][5][6]
Peters is the grandson of William Peters, a journalist and civil rights activist, and the nephew of Gretchen Peters, a singer and songwriter.[1][4]
Peters earned a BS degree in physics and astronomy from Yale University.[7]
Peters was the senior VP at Macrovision Solutions Corp (renamed to Rovi Corporation).[7][8][9] He is a board member of DoorDash, a technology company.[7]
In 2008, Peters joined Netflix as the international development officer, responsible for global partnerships with consumer electronics companies, Internet service providers and multi-channel video programming distributors.[10][11][12][13]
In July 2017, Peters became the Chief Product Officer of Netflix.[14][15][4][5][16] Later, in 2020, he became the Chief Operating Officer of Netflix.[10][8][17][1][18]
On January 19, 2023, he became the Co-CEO of Netflix[15][5][19] along with Ted Sarandos[20][17][21][22] after Reed Hastings stepped down and became Executive Chairman.[7][18][2]
