Air Marshal Hifazat Ullah Khan, is a retired three star general air officer who served as Vice Chief of Air Staff (VCAS) of Pakistan Air Force from 29 March 2009 till 04 October, 2010. A 3 star rank Air officer, Air Marshal Hifazat Ullah Khan was replaced by Air Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt as Vice Chief of Air Staff.
Khan graduated from PAF Public School Sargodha in 1972, and attended Government College University to study physics. However, after accepted at the Pakistan Air Force Academy in 1974, Khan left Government College University to attend the Air Force Academy. Khan holds a M.Sc. in War studies, and a M.S. in Military science, both from National Defence University, Islamabad.
Hifazat Khan gained commissioned in Air Force in 1974 General Duties (Pilot) Branch of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). A fighter pilot of Dassault Mirage III, Khan commanded No. 26 Squadron Black Spiders, and a No. 34 Tactical Attack Wing as a Commanding Officer. In 2009, as Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Khan was the regional commander of the PAF Base Korangi Creek.
