Hylomantis aspera or the rough leaf frog is a species of frog in the subfamily Phyllomedusinae. It is endemic to Brazil.[2][3] People have seen it as high as 600 meters above sea level.[1]
This frog has been observed in forests, near the edges of forests, and in swamps. It has been found sitting on leaves and on water plants. The tadpoles develop in temporary puddles.[1]
Scientists do not consider this frog to be in danger of extinction because of its large range and population.[1]
