Jade Arianna Gentile (born July 28, 1998) is an American former soccer player and professional wrestler currently signed to WWE where she performs under the ring name Jazmyn Nyx on the NXT brand.
Gentile attended West Virginia University (WVU) majoring in global supply chain management. She also played soccer as part of the WVU sports program and went on to play as a forward for Icelandic club UMF Afturelding.[7][8][9]
On November 10, 2022, Gentile was announced as having signed with WWE as part of the WWE Performance Center Fall 2022 Rookie Class.[10] She made her in-ring debut on the August 18, 2023 NXT live event in a six-woman tag team match teaming with Lola Vice and Elektra Lopez to defeat Jacy Jayne, Kiana James and Jaida Parker.[11]
In January 2024, now under the ring name Jazmyn Nyx, she began appearing as a student at Chase University and befriended fellow student Jacy Jayne, even participating in Jayne's "2024 Ladies of Chase U" calendar sold at NXT Vengeance Day to save Chase U out of debt.[12] On the February 20 episode of NXT, Nyx and Thea Hail accompanied Jayne at ringside where Nyx used underhanded tactics to help Jayne win the match to Hail's disdain, thus establishing herself as a heel.[13] Over the following weeks, Nyx and Jayne would mock Hail calling her a "loser" which led to Hail snapping at them and declaring that the "old Thea Hail was back" on the March 12 episode of NXT. On the following week, Jayne and Nyx turned on Chase U and costed Riley Osborne the NXT Heritage Cup championship match against No Quarter Catch Crew's Drew Gulak. On the March 26 episode of NXT, Nyx made her televised in-ring debut against Hail where she was defeated.[14][15][16][17][18]
On the April 30 episode of Spring Breakin, Hail defeated Jayne in a singles match and legitimately broke her nose during the match. On the May 14 episode of NXT, Nyx attacked Hail after her match with Fallon Henley vowing to get revenge on Hail for injuring Jayne. On the June 4 episode of NXT, Nyx defeated Hail to earn her first televised singles win.[19][20][21]
