His interest in DJing started in his youth when he first saw a live DJ set-up in a neighbor's house. He then bought his first DJ equipment, in which he delivered newspapers to finance.[6]

He created numerous productions and remixes for other artists, his own releases and his involvement in projects such as Die Freund der Sonne with Kool Savas, Illmatic and DJ Release, which made him known in the rap and EDM scene.[7] He has performed in more than 40 countries and some of his songs have millions of views on streaming and video platforms such as Spotify and YouTube.[8][9] His song "The Horns" was played before the boxing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas.[10][11] The song meanwhile reached 40 million plays on YouTube, and more than 20 million streams on Spotify.[12][13] The music video was uploaded on November 17, 2015 by WePLAY Music and Management.[14]

His solo hit "Lights Out (Too Drunk)" became popular on Spotify with over 40 million streams.[citation needed] It was also certified platinum in numerous countries, such as Sweden and Norway.[citation needed] Katch also made several productions with hip hop artists such as "Bounce (Turn It Up)" with the Beatnuts and Greg Nice and "Wild Out" with N.O.R.E.[12]

He was a resident DJ in Sven Väth's nightclub Cocoon and organizes the party series DJ Katch's Urbanice at the Gibson Club in Frankfurt am Main.[15]
