Jonathan Vervoort (born 13 August 1993) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back.
Vervoort started playing football in Anderlecht's youth academy. However, he transitioned to Denderleeuw EH and later Eendracht Aalst. After two seasons away, the Vervoort rejoined the ranks of the Anderlecht youth teams.[2] Notably, he participated in the TV program De school van Lukaku in 2010, which provided audiences with a glimpse into his journey as a footballer.[3]
In 2012, Vervoort was sent on loan to Dutch Eerste Divisie club FC Eindhoven.[4] Vervoort's professional debut followed on 14 September 2012, in a match against Helmond Sport, forming a defensive partnership with Sjors Paridaans at centre-back.[5]
